Need the SmartBoard sofware? It's free. Go to smarttech.com and click on software downloads. Keep in mind, the download will take about 20 minutes because of all of the gallery resources.
CONNECTING
1. Connect the LCD to the laptop using the 15 pin blue connector
2. Connect the SmartBoard to the laptop to any USB port
3. Turn on the laptop and the LCD
4. Press Fn F8 up to three times to make your image appear on the Smartboard and your laptop.
4. Make adjustments to the image so that it fits the SmartBoard and has a little space around the edges. (if you have a very small image, there are instructions on getting a full screen image below)
5. Orient the board (instructions below)
ORIENTING:
Once you have your image adjusted, you will need to orient the board.
1. Simultaneously press both the keyboard and mouse buttons located on the Smartboard tray.
2. You will get a screen like the image below. Start on the upper left and press each of the nine targets as they come up.
ADJUSTING YOUR IMAGE TO FULL SCREEN
1. Go to your desktop
2. Right click
3. Go to Graphics Properties (you will get the screen below)
4. Click on Monitor at the top
5. Click on Display Settings on the left (image below)
6. Click on Full Screen (No Border)
7. Click on Apply, then OK
8. You may have to press function (Fn) F8 again to get the image to appear on both the SmartBoard and the laptop.
